Don’t wait until the last minute to submit your nominations for the Safety, Health and Survival Section awards. New online forms make submitting nominations easier than ever. These awards will all be presented in August at Fire-Rescue International in Dallas.

Alan Brunacini Fire Service Executive Safety Award 

Deadline: March 18, 2018 at 11:59 PM EDT (Midnight)

This award is presented to a chief executive officer of a fire department (of any size or composition) that has demonstrated a unique commitment to fire service health and safety.

 

Billy Goldfeder Fire Service Organizational Safety Award

Deadline: March 18, 2018 at 11:59 PM EDT (Midnight)

This award is presented to a fire service organization that has demons

trated an outstanding commitment or made a significant contribution.


Chief Sandy Davis Safety Officer of the Year

Deadline: March 15, 2018 at 11:59 PM EDT (Midnight)

Section Honors Chief Sandy Davis and names award in his honor.  Video documentary features Retired Chief of Safety Sandy Davis from the Shreveport Fire Department talking about his career with SFD and his diagnosis with cancer. His message to all those in the fire service is to “Wear your PPE” to help reduce the risk of the job that we do every day.
